Abstract

The leiomyoblastoma of stomach is an unusual smooth muscle tumors. It has gross appearance similar to that of other smooth muscle tumor, but has distinctive histological characteristics. Most of these tumors are benign but some tumors behave in
a
malignant manner.
These tumors are often found incidentally during other intra-abdominal operations. We present two cases of this tumor. One was incidentaly found in the gastric wall after gastrectomy for gastric ulcer bleeding, and was located just below the
gastric
ulcer crater and had a well demarcated margin. The other was histopathologically diagnosed after surgery under clinical impression of gastric leiomyoma.
